Joyce Myers – Joyce is a 32 year old working mom  from Dallas. She is married and has 2 daughters (3 and 5), and works as a nutritionist. She is in town for her sister’s graduation and Joyce is in charge of reserving a place to have dinner together with her sister and the rest of their family. While her daughters are well behaved, Joyce wonders if this restaurant has a family room offered so that their family can have some room for the kids to get up and walk around and some space to talk loudly. Joyce is also interested in knowing if the restaurant has a kids menu, since she isn’t sure if the children will eat foreign food, but wants some healthy options. Joyce is unfamiliar with Abilene’s road layout, so she is looking for a good map on the website, and hopefully one that connects to google maps.

Josh Anderson – Josh is a 20 year old college student at ACU from Austin. Josh has had Korean Barbecue before in Austin, and wants to go with his friends from ISA to this restaurant. Josh has a gluten intolerance condition, so he wants to see a clear  “gluten free” on some of the listed items. He is concerned about pricing since he doesn’t have a large budget, so he is looking for a daily or weekly lunch special. Josh is looking for a job currently, so he wants to see if they have an online application, or contact info. He also wants to look at the hours for this restaurant, because he can only work after 3pm.

Name: Bill Kaulitz

Age: 27

Location: Berlin, Germany

Occupation: Lead singer to the band Tokio Hotel, fashion designer, model, and etc.

Bill and his twin brother Tom have travel to the states, they happened to land in Abilene, Tx. They have connected with some local fans and they have been given a tour of the few fun things to do in this town. Bill and Tom really love Italian food but sadly there are no good Italian spots in Abilene. So being really good friend of theirs I decide to show one on the popular spots us ACU students like to dine at. I take them to the second best “Mexican” restaurant in town, Sharky’s. But, for we arrive Bill likes to know what he might be eating, being that it was his first time experiencing Mexican food. So we pull up the website and it has a variety of local favorites and specials. I find we both like pictures and find it more help for deciding what to eat. By the end of his experience he is in shock that people actually say naked burritos and how good the spicy ranch is!

Watermelondrea cross colored jones is a very special individual, been hiding out from the law for several days. She was almost obtained in Austin, TX last Saturday night at local club called ICE. She hit an individual in the head with bottle for talking about her Fake Michael Kors. Anyways she happened to stop in town, and she was wondering what place she grabs some burritos from. Being that she can’t use her credit card, she is running low on cash, so she decides to look up sharky’s and finds that they have specials under $10. She decides to dine in thinking people mind there business but she was sadly mistaking. She was obtained while enjoying $10 burrito as a child pointed her out, as her face scrolled across on of the Tv screen.

Donna

Age: 54

Location: Lampasas, Tx

Occupation: Wife, Mother, Secretary for her husband’s Chiropractic office

Hobbies: Baking, Cooking, Hosting and Planning Events
Donna has lived in the area of Lampasas her whole life. She is well known for being a great friend, neighbor, and citizen around the town. Donna’s life long best friend’s daughter has recently gotten engaged. Donna has taken it upon herself to help plan and host the bridal shower. She knows that her friend’s daughter loves Eve’s cheesecake and has decided to have it at her shower. Donna heads over to Eve’s website to see what she can find out about ordering a couple of different cheesecakes for the upcoming shower. She notices how simple is to navigate their website. She is able to read a list of the different cheesecakes that Eve bakes before placing an order with her.

Matt is a single 26 year old male that works as an editor for the Abilene Newspaper. He likes having a locally owned place where he can relax and hangout whether it be with friends or just himself. He likes his coffee for when he’s up late for work, but he also likes a drink from time to time. Matt also has a Celiac Disease so he has to have fresh gluten free coffee and milk. He found out about a Coffee and Cocktail bar opening up in downtown Abilene, and he thought he’d check the website to see if they had gluten free options for him.

Brandon is a 19 year old sophomore at ACU. He is from Abilene and is familiar with Larry’s. He has childhood memories of going there after school or during the hot days of the summer to get some of their homemade ice cream. Brandon has a few friends from out of the area and wants to introduce them to Larry’s as well. For one of his friends birthday, he decides to buy a gift card and send it to him through his email. The day before his birthday, in the few minutes he has in between his classes in the afternoon, he takes to time to buy his friends gift. He opens the internet on his phone, searches for the Larry’s website, and quickly finds the gift card page. He selects the style card he wants, enters his credit card info, then proceeds to enter in his friends email and writes him a little note. He sends the gift card and his friend is pleasantly surprised the next day when he finds the gift card in is email inbox. He and Brandon then go to lunch at Larry’s that day.

Brianna is 29 years old and just moved to Abilene for work. She is looking for a place to eat on her lunch break and comes across Larry’s in here search list. She is interested in the idea of a drive and opens the site to learn more about the restaurant. Once the site is open, she sees the “About” tab in the menu bar. She clicks it and is immediately dropped down to the “About” section of the home page. She reads the summary of the Larry’s story and then notices the “read more” link at the bottom. When she clicks this link, she is redirected to a separate “About” page with a complete story and a list of core values that Larry’s uphold. After reading through this information, she convinces one of her co workers to go and eat at Larry’s for lunch with her.

Emily

Age: 25

Location: Abilene, TX

Occupation: Boutique owner

Hobbies: Fashion, traveling, spending time with family

Emily’s 26th birthday is quickly approaching and her family has decided to come visit her for a few days and celebrate. Her parents, brother, sister-in-law, and their 2 year old son will be staying in Abilene for four days. Emily is looking for a local restaurant for her and her family to go to for her birthday dinner. She has heard people talk about a Thai restaurant, Krua Thai, so she goes to their website to check it out. She first heads over to the menu page to see about adjusting to food allergies and specifications. Emily’s sister in law is a vegetarian and is allergic to tomatoes. She thankfully sees a multitude of vegetarian items clearly marked. Also on the menu is a statement about accommodating to food allergies. Since she is pretty sure she wants to go to this restaurant, Emily clicks on the reservations tab to see if they accept reservations. Fortunately, the reservations page has a form to fill about your party and what day and time you are wanting to come. Emily is confident in her choice of restaurant and is sure her family will love it.

Dave

Age: 31

Location: Abilene, TX

Occupation: Software Engineer

Hobbies: Hanging out with friends, movie marathons, trying new foods

Dave and his five closest friends are having their monthly movie marathon night at his house this weekend. They always order takeout food from different cuisines. One type of food they have not tried yet is Thai food, so Dave researched good Thai places in Abilene. He found Krua Thai’s website and decided to see if it might be the best option. Since he needs to be able to order the food to go, he first visited the order tab. He was happy to discover that he can order all the food he needs to one the website. He knows that he will not have a lot of time after work on Friday before his friends come over, so he checks the location to see if its on his way home. He goes to the contact tab and thankfully sees that Krua Thai is between his work and home. He cannot wait to try this new food and enjoy another movie marathon with his friends.

Scenario 1:

Name: Ned and Paula Stewart

Age: 75

Hometown: Abilene, TX

Ned and Paula Stewart are celebrating their 50th anniversary soon. Ned wants to surprise Paula with a vacation suitable for their age and health. Ned had heard that a new resort (Kuchiatari) was opening in the area. He heard that the hot springs there had health benefits for older folks like themselves. He looks up the information about the health benefits of the hot springs on the Kuchiatari website and is pleased with how much information is provided.

Scenario 2:

Name: Jacob and Lisa

Age: 24

Hometown: Pueblo, Colorado

Jacob and Lisa just recently got engaged. Money is tight because of wedding expenses, but they still want to go to an “exotic” resort. While searching online they find the Kuchiatari website. They think they have found what they are looking for. On the homepage it indicates that it is within the United States and that rooms are not that expensive. When they go to book the room, they are provided with multiple room options to make their stay cheaper, such as not including meals and not having a private hot spring. They are very excited for their future together and their first nights together in the resort.

Matt

Age: 32

Location: Cedar Park, Tx

Occupation: Husband, Father, Accountant

Hobbies: loves to get away from city life and explore new places
Matt is a hard working accountant around the outskirts of Austin. He and his wife have been married for 8 years. He is looking for a little surprise get away from the city and their two young children. Matt has only ever driven through the small town of Lampasas and heard from some of his clients that it is a little nice place to get away. He has booked a stay at the bed and breakfast and looking for some places to eat while they enjoy their stay. Matt does his research and notices that Eve’s German cuisine has high ratings and reviews. While browsing on Eve’s restaurant website, Matt reads they can enjoy a delicious meal, adult beverages, and dessert in an authentic setting on downtown Lampasas.
