Faculty Career Resources
As you grow and shape your career towards promotion and tenure, the Adams Center offers these guides.
Examples of successful T&P portfolios can be accessed here. Faculty members also have the opportunity to interact with the Tenure and Promotion Committee during specially scheduled lunch sessions during the Spring semester.
Academic Leaders at ACU generously support faculty renewal and faculty enrichment opportunities. Faculty who qualify are encouraged to apply for funds and assistance made available through the provost’s office, the Faculty Development Committee, and the Adams Center.
Faculty Success is an online tool for you to update your academic and professional activities and achievements. Using it eliminates frequent requests for information, prepares you for your T&P portfolio, helps you to generate a professional web presence, and generates data for various reports you, your academic department, administrators, and accreditation agencies may need. Tutorials for how to use the tool are available here.
Master Teacher Training Program
The Master Teacher Program seeks to empower faculty to develop and implement best practices and data-driven techniques into their courses, resulting in long-term significant learning. Open to any full-time faculty member, participants meet monthly, engaging in face-to-face and online discussions, observations, and reflection.
Lunch Sessions
The Adams Center hosts over one hundred educational lunch sessions each year. Sessions invite faculty to discuss teaching and learning, share scholarship, consider mission, and build collegiality. In addition, each semester we have several reading groups to discuss a common read. Our Monday morning email describes each week’s sessions.
See our Teaching Resources page for information and services on teaching strategies and student success.
