Remember that our Shore Gallery show (Malerweg) opens on 11/1. To that end, I’m planning on having a working meeting from 11-noon next Friday, 10/18. I know this is Homecoming Friday, but we need to get the ball rolling on exhibition preparation; does this timeslot create any conflicts for folks (thinking of those of you who are pledging)? Pizza will be served, and we’ll also do a post-trip departmental survey.
At our meeting, I’ll have some sample sizes of frames available for you to look at. You’ll choose a frame size, then make some measurements for the mat window for your piece(s). You’ll enter these on a Google doc, then I’ll turn in that list to Hobby Lobby to get mats cut. Then we’ll have another 11-noon meeting–probably Monday 10/28–to put the pieces together and drop them off in the gallery so the show can be hung that week.
