Workshop with Jeff Rogers
On Tuesday, October 2nd, Jeff Rogers will lead a come-and-go collaborative mural in the courtyard in front of the lobby from 10 am until we finish! He will also give a talk in DM 224 at 9 am before starting the mural. Jeff Rogers is a designer, illustrator, muralist, and Creative Director at Trace Element in Dallas.
Attendance at this event will count as an Art Event Credit!
Mandatory A+D Advising Meetings

- ALL A+D Art Majors– Mandatory Department Meeting, Tuesday, Sept. 26th from 5-6 PM in the Shore Gallery. Please let me know ASAP if you cannot make it due to a work, class or other conflict. This is an important informational meeting with faculty regarding your major, scheduling, advising and courses offered.
- First Semester Art + Design majors– Mandatory Advising Workshop with Melissa Henderson, Oct. 2nd at 11:30 in Don Morris 141.
A+D DFW Museum Trip
- We will load buses at 7:30 AM in front of the Bible building and leave at 8 AM sharp. Anyone who arrives late will be left behind. We plan to return around 9:00 PM.
- Bring money for lunch or pack a lunch. We will provide pizza for dinner.
- You can document one Art Event Credit for each museum.

Awards will be given for Best in Show and Best in Category, as well as for 2nd and 3rd Place and Honorable Mentions in each category.

In addition to the following cash prizes, these five winners will be awarded a 1-year Student Artist Membership at the Center for Contemporary Arts (must complete Artist Member Registration to activate membership).

ACU Art Needed for Winter Solicit Card
$500 scholarship
The ACU Annual Giving Team is looking for a student to design the cover of our Winter/Christmas Solicit card. The person that we select will get the chance to work with an ACU graphic designer and have their work sent out to donors across the ACU community. To enter all you have to do is submit a concept design and a brief description by the deadline of October 13th.
Guidelines:
- The theme is “ACU Christmas “ or “Winter at ACU”
- It should include something that is recognizable on campus whether that be a building, special location, or a memorable moment
- The image can be drawn, digitally rendered or painted
- The person selected will receive a $500 scholarship
- Submit your concept to ajo15a@acu.edu
