ACU’s very own Extreme Home Makeover — Project Merge
Project Merge was created in order for the ACU Interior Design Department to expand into the Abilene area, merging design skills and care for the community to give the gift of a safe, inviting home.We need the Abilene community and ACU to help us out. Project Merge is trying to raise awareness, so people will spread the word and provide donations for the family. Project Merge – an entirely student-driven effort inspired by faith, transforms the life of a local family. Interior design students from ACU give back to the Abilene community and put their training and design skills to use while renovating a home for a local resident in need.

Project Merge is in full swing this semester. This year, the Parmer family has been chosen through nominations. Sue and Charles and their 6 children, Kendrick (18), Denise (19), Moo Moo (14), Alina (13), Kimone (3) and Kimaya (2) live in a 4 bedroom, 1 bath house.

With the installation weekend set for April 19-21, this is where we need your help. Visit our facebook page to find out the latest updates and complete this google doc to sign up to volunteer!

Also, we are need of artwork. Any pieces that you would be willing to donate can be brought to the art office for display in the the family’s newly renovated home.
