Art Walk this Thursday! This is a great way to receiver Art & Design Credit.  ArtWalk is a free monthly celebration of the arts in downtown Abilene. Everyone enjoys free exhibits, street performances and live entertainment during ArtWalk.

• Each month brings a new offering of art and entertainment that attracts a broad cross section of the community.

• This monthly mini-festival has received statewide accolades and even national recognition, but it is the wide participation by the citizens of Abilene that makes this a program so extraordinary.

• As an added bonus, ArtWalk provides performance opportunities for visual and performing artists in the area.

The Mat Cutting Room has Moved!   The mat cutting room is now located on the third floor of the Don Morris Building.  Room 315.

ACU Downtown Gallery located downtown Abilene- 1133 N2nd Street.
“ Print: Photos & Printmaking 2010” This exhibit is up until Sept 11th.

Shore Art Gallery 32^nd Annual Art & Design Student Competition

Art & Design Chapel Art & Design Chapel will take place on Sept. 9th in Don Morris 141.   Ryan Feerer   will be speaking.

Graduating in December If you are planning on graduating in December and haven’t contacted Bev in Don Morris 142.  Please do so ASAP.

Fine Arts Chapel

Williams Performing Arts Center-Fulks Theatre.

This chapel is a combination of art & design, theater, and music students.

Portfolio Reviews for Incoming Art Students

Students wishing special consideration for scholarships (entering freshmen and other new students to the department) will have an opportunity to submit a portfolio on Sept. 6th.  All work must be turned into DM 142 by 5:00pm.  Judging will take place on Sept. 7^th.

Scholarships range from $500.00 to $250.00 per semester.
