This chapel is a combination of art & design, theater, and music students.

Portfolio Reviews for Incoming Art Students

Students wishing special consideration for scholarships (entering freshmen and other new students to the department) will have an opportunity to submit a portfolio on Sept. 6th.  All work must be turned into DM 142 by 5:00pm.  Judging will take place on Sept. 7^th.

Scholarships range from $500.00 to $250.00 per semester.

The Mat Cutting Room has moved!   The mat cutting room is now located on the third floor of the Don Morris Building.  Room 315.

ACU Downtown Gallery- located downtown Abilene- 1133 N2nd Street. 
“ Print: Photos & Printmaking 2010” This exhibit is up until Sept 3rd.

Shore Art Gallery/ “32^nd Annual Art & Design Student Competition”

Art & Design Chapel/ Our first Art & Design Chapel will take place on Sept. 2nd in the Shore Art Gallery.

The Mat Cutting Room has Moved!   The mat cutting room is now located on the third floor of the Don Morris Building.  Room 315.

Lockers are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Art & Design Department; these are useful for storing artwork and equipment used in classes.  You can maintain this locker for one year.
Procedure for maintaining a Locker.

1.    Buy a lock.
2.    Put your lock on a locker that is empty.
3.    Write your name and number of the locker in the “Locker Assignment Notebook” located in Don Morris 142.

Figure Drawing Models Needed/ Models Wanted- For Fall ACU Figure Drawing classes.  Get paid to hold still!!!
Models pose in swimwear or shorts for various lengths of time from 30 seconds to 30 minutes.  All shapes and body styles welcome.  Hours we need you are MWF 9:00am to 10:50am /or TR 1:30-4:20  (please check your schedule before filling out application, and make sure that you can model entire time).

Chapel Leader needed.

The Art/Design department is looking for a student to organize the singing, prayer, prayer requests and announcements every Thursday at 11:00 for Art/Design Chapel.  This person must be enthusiastic and energetic.  Weekly wage is $10.00.
