WEDNESDAY: 12pm Guest Speaker – Randy Hunt
Randy Hunt, former VP of Design at Etsy and current Head of Design at Artsy will be doing a Q&A on Wednesday at 12pm in Library 272 (CORE Classroom). We encourage all of you to do some research and come and pick Randy’s brain. He’s well known in the creative industry and we’re very fortunate to have him. Oh, and you would get an art event credit.
THURSDAY!!! Department Faculty and Student Karaoke Night
You guys you don’t want to miss this! March 22nd in the Studio of the Rec at 7pm. We really need you all there to make this a fun night.
THURSDAY – Study Abroad Chapel Lecture Series
All students are welcome to join in on Thursday at 11 in room 141 for lecture 2 in the study abroad series.

Senior Exhibition- Chancey Sanders
Chancey’s solo senior exhibition, the body, runs March 7-25 with her closing reception slated for Saturday 3/24 at 3pm at the Center for Contemporary Art downtown. Thursday night is Art Walk so make sure you head out to see her work.

Mandatory Meeting!!!
Students, tomorrow at 4:30 we will have our mandatory meeting in Shore Gallery at 4:30. You are expected to be there and attendance will be taken. If you are unable to attend please email me and give me the reason so I can forward that to Mike. We have changes to the Fall schedule that you need to be aware of.

Weekly Announcements 2/5/2018
Thursday: Art Walk & ISAC awards
Head downtown on Thursday night and earn those art event credits by going to the galleries and museums downtown. The Intercollegiate Student Art Competition show will be open at the Center for Contemporary Art. Congratulations to all our students who had work selected for the show. We had 27 pieces selected from 20 students.
Friday: Senior Show
Come out and support, Daniel Tapia, Denver Gravitt, Kristal Borjas, Madi Ray & Paulina Servin at their senior exhibition, young done and baroque (round of applause on that title, see what they did there?). The show will open Friday, Feb 9th in Shore Gallery at 5:30.
Mandatory Meeting
Please put Feb 13th on your calendar now. Our Mandatory Department Meeting will be held at 4:30 in Shore. Art Education will be dismissed so you can attend. We ask you to move around any other obligations and ask ahead about being off from work. Thank you! If you are unable to attend please let me know the reason and I will forward it to Mike.
