Man of La Mancha
ACU Theatre presents the Broadway hit, “Man of La Mancha” at the Abilene Civic Center for 2016 Homecoming Musical.
Inspired by the classic novel, Man of La Mancha will leave you breathless with a score including the romantic “Dulcinea” and the heroic “I, Don Quixote.”
Join the knight errant and his trusty sidekick as they embark on a journey full of laughter, love and unruly windmills. His quest dares everyone to dream “The Impossible Dream.”

Pre-Purchase Your Homecoming Carnival Wristbands
Faculty and staff can pre-purchase the $3 Homecoming Carnival Wristbands all this week and next in The Alumni Relations suite, Hunter Welcome Center Room 282. The Carnival, 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, in the mall area and the Money Recreation and Wellness Center, will be a fun event for the whole family — who doesn’t love food trucks? And be sure to stick around for the Candlelight Devo from 8:15-8:45 p.m. in the Beauchamp Amphitheater.
Free Wildcat for Life T-shirts
We’re giving away free Wildcat for Life T-shirts to alumni on a first-come, first-served basis at the Homecoming Carnival from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21! Come by the registration table near the Bell Tower to sign in and receive your shirt!
Homecoming Carnival — Offices Close Early Oct. 21
Offices will close at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct 21, to allow faculty and staff to attend the Homecoming Carnival at 5 p.m. in the mall area of campus and inside the Money Student Recreation and Wellness Center. Please display appropriate signage at your offices to notify students and visitors in advance. Be sure to take this opportunity to interact with campus visitors as well.
ACU Insured Employee Flu Shot Clinics
The ACU Medical Clinic is partnering with Human Resources to offer free flu shots to all ACU insured employees, their spouses and dependents 12 and over.
We are offering two convenient flu shot clinics this week:
Wednesday, October 12

2:30 pm to 4:30pm
Friday, October 14
COBA Dean’s Conference Room
1:00pm to 3:00pm
We will have licensed medical professionals from Hendrick Provider Network available to administer the vaccine.

A Night of Bilingual Poetry – Art Walk
Join us for A Night of Bilingual Poetry. The Department of Language and Literature, Sigma Delta Pi- National Collegiate Spanish Honor Society in Partnership with The Grace Museum have put together a program to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, during Abilene’s downtown ArtWalk. The program will start promptly at 6:00 p.m., and is free to the public. Thursday, October 13th at The Grace Museum.
