Family First Speaker Series
Join Family First this Wednesday, February 8th, from 11:30-1pm in the Adams Center for Conflict and Confrontation, presented by Dena Counts. Here’s an overview: How does your family handle conflict? There may be some members who avoid conflict while others seem to pursue it. In this presentation, Dena Counts provides insights into understanding your own and others’ conflict communication styles, as well as practical strategies for solving conflict.

Coming Soon: New and Improved Banner
Phase 1 of major improvements to the administrative part of Banner (a.k.a. Big Banner, Internet Native Banner, INB, Banner-Banner and Oracle Banner) are coming in February. The next generation of the Banner platform will significantly improve your ability to use Banner, with Java no longer required once all project phases are completed. You are invited to take a first look on Wednesday, February 8th, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m in the CORE Classroom of the Brown Library. Sing Song Tickets
Tickets and merchandise for Sing Song 2017 will be on sale in the campus center from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. through February 14th. Tickets will be sold in the lower level of the Campus Center in the ticket window and in room 10. Starting February 15th, the box office will be moved to Moody and will operate from 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. You may also purchase tickets online.
Strengths Coaching for Faculty/Staff
Did you know that the Adams Center is offering Strengths Coaching for Faculty and Staff. Dena Counts, our Gallup Certified Strengths Advocate, can sit down with you to analyze your Strengths combination and consider how it applies to your job, classroom and goals. There are even options for Advocates to come to your classroom to help your students understand the Strengths philosophy and how to apply it to their majors. Email dena.counts@acu.edu to make an appointment.
Benefits Tip – IRS Form W-2
If you elected to receive your IRS Form W-2 electronically, your W-2 is now available. To retrieve your W-2, follow these instructions:
1) Log in to my.acu.edu
2) Click on the “Banner” link at the top of the page
3) Click on the “Employee” tab
4) Click on “Tax Forms”
5) Click on “W-2 Wage and Tax Statement”
6) Select tax year 2016, and select the “Display” button
For a printable W-2, please click on the “printable W-2” button at the bottom left of the page. You will be redirected to a screen asking for your PIN, which is your 6-digit birth date MMDDYY.

Images of Aging Photo Contest
Dr. Charlie Pruett and the Pruett Gerontology Center are excited to announce the Images of Aging Photo Contest, through March 7, 2017. The contest is open to any full-time student on the ACU Campus. Students take a photo depicting active aging with either a cell phone or camera and email to PGC. View all the details, rules, and submission process on the Images of Aging Blog.
Sick-to-Service (S2S) Benefit Program
Human Resources is pleased to announce a new benefit program initiated by Staff Senate. The Sick-to-Service Program will give employees an option to utilize banked sick hours for service related projects and activities. Program details can be found online.
We believe the S2S Benefit Program has the potential to increase the number of ACU employees that will engage in service related trips, activities and projects. We encourage ACU employees to live out their faith in a variety of ways. It is our hope and desire that empowering employees with this benefit will offer those in our communities and throughout the world access to the vast intellectual, physical and spiritual talents of our employees and bring honor to God.
