Fresh Fish Pack

When I saw this packaging concept, I had a variety of feelings. I was pretty disgusted at first because I imagined a slimy, wet fish laying a cardboard box. After I studied it more and more, I recognized the potential and the cleverness of the concept. I don’t know if this will ever be implemented by seafood markets, but it is pretty cool.

Some of my friends brought pizza back to my house yesterday and I couldn’t help but be extremely impressed by the packaging. Domino’s recently redid all of their packaging and came up with this beautiful design.

Ramlosa approached NINE with an issue in their present packaging. The one they were using was made of glass, and therefore costly and also hard to dispose of. NINE developed a new, beautiful, and biodegradable package.

Joshua Bullock is another great designer who does some RIDICULOUS hand-drawn stuff. I reference his stuff a lot when I am wanting to improve on my typography. Check him out and you’ll see why!

This guy has been one of my favorite designers since I stumbled across dribbble. He does some great hand-drawn work! He also recently started a company called sevenly that does some really awesome motivational stuff.

I really like the simplicity of this package. The simple illustration of half the bear’s face is a nice touch!

This is one of the coolest package designs I’ve ever seen. I love it when people notice a problem, and develop a package that solves that problem.

This really reminds me of something Dana Tanamachi would do. I love the style. I doubt he did this, but it looks like he just went for it and called it finished after his first go at the type. Love it.

The same thing happened to me Leanne! I did not even realize there was even a change just at a glance. This would make a really interesting study.

I love the subject matter with this piece, and what I love even more is that they made it into a series. I’m not crazy about the packaging with this one, but I do really like the typography and the illustrations.

I have heard of friends of type but never visited their site. Thanks for posting this! They really have some great work on there! I’m definitely going to need to hit it up for inspiration in the future.

  9. They are pretty! With are current project, I have been doing a lot of research on packaging from that period and there is some beautiful stuff. I love all the little details! Thanks for sharing!

This looks like a place I would love to eat it at. The design is great, and honestly throws me off a little bit. I agree with Amy, I have never seen a Vietnamese restaurant incorporate design like this. Usually their design is usually very traditional and typically relates to their culture in some way. Despite it being different from other restaurants of their kind, I think it is beautiful and really works.
