Project Merge
I am helping with leading Project Merge, a renovation effort led by Interior Design students to help local families in need to make their homes safer and more enjoyable.
This year we are helping Hope Haven, a transitional housing facility for Homeless singles and families (We are only renovating their Kitchen). We are needing volunteers to clean, paint*, potentially aid professionals, and various other tasks. We also need volunteers to prepare “pot luck style” meals for the Residents and Volunteers (20-40 people). Any food/ drink item will be accepted (these donations would be prepared off site). Because we are shutting down their Kitchen, we need to help make this process simple and enjoyable for them. This also provides an opportunity for us to join them and get to know the community! Volunteer hours will be given to those who give meal donations depending on what item(s) is given. If you would like to cook/prepare a meal- We will contact you shortly after your form is submitted. To sign up for Merge shift, follow this link, https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1sQWavRqaFzG9ZXQxYkEd9_f8Bn3LtkdwBnERzm5vnsI/edit?usp=sharingWe also have a campus center table during 11:30am-1/1:30pm each day to come and ask questions, sign up for shifts, and give donations. For more information, contact Bryana Guy at bdg11a@acu.edu Hope to see you there!![]()
