Instead of meeting in person, this week we will be voting on the following items electronically. The following items all pertain to HIST 332 – Early Modern Atlantic World, a new course recently approved by UUAC. The History Department is requesting to have this new course added to three different menus: Cultural Awareness, Social Science, and Historical Literacy. You will find the proposals below with documentation addressing criteria for each menu. I have also included the original new course application to give you a better feel for the course competencies and design.

Please enter any comments or questions you have in the comment section. Ron Morgan will be invited to address any questions you have.

Today we will address our single agenda item in a virtual format here on the blog instead of meeting in person.

The Art Department has proposed that ART 325 – Art History: Christian be considered for inclusion on the Historical Literacy menu.

Please enter your questions and comments in the comment box below after you have reviewed the proposal. I have asked representatives from the Art Department to participate in the discussion as well.

Today we will address our single agenda item in a virtual format here on the blog instead of meeting in person.

The School of Information Technology and Computing is proposing that their new course ITC 480 be accepted as the capstone course for their Computer Science and Digital Entertainment Technology degrees. The course has already been approved as writing-intensive.

UUAC met and approved the course itself for creation, leaving their approval of the capstone piece contingent on this committee’s decision.

Below you will find links to the course application as well as a chart outlining the ways the course meets the capstone guidelines.

ITC 480 Capstone Chart

I have enabled comments here on the blog and invited Dr. Homer to check in regularly to answer any questions the committee might have. Any motions can be entertained in the comments as well.

Thank you for your participation.
