Irinia was born in Buenos Aires and attended Westminister University in London for Photojournalism. I think his projects are always really cool concepts and ideas. I think he does well with telling stories and making the brain turn when viewing images.
One of my favourite projects from him is the Back to the Future Series…
“I love old photos. I admit being a nosey photographer. As soon as I step into someone else’s house, I start sniffing for them. Most of us are fascinated by their retro look but to me, it’s imagining how people would feel and look like if they were to reenact them today… Two years ago, I decided to actually do this. So, with my camera, I started inviting people to go back to their future..”
Here are just a few images from the project, but you can goto http://www.irinawerning.com/index.php?/bttf2/back-to-the-future-2-2011/

  1. I stumbled upon this a few years ago as well and thought it was great! Just a cute and fun video that shows a great use of time lapse photography. Actually I was trying to find this video again for inspiration on this project and couldn’t- so thank you!

  2. Nilsson does a unique job playing with light and surroundings with these shots. My favourite part of these shots is the background. I think the background is what makes the image feel the way it does. It gives the dancers a plastic dool type feel as well as makes the details of the sweat/highlights in their faces more apparent. I think Nilsson discovered the key to using the background and lighting to his advantage to make several very successful shots.

  3. Gregory Crewdson definitely has the discipline down for photography. The amount of time, energy, and effort that goes into each shot proves that. Even if the drama impacted shot isn’t for you, someone still has to appreciate the skill Crewdson has mastered. I love examining his images and discovering something new that I missed each time.

  4. I am a big fan of Annie Leibovitz. I have always been impressed by her work. The actual shots and the way she presents them. I was super into the The American Music series when it came out. I think she does beautiful work. I think you can see her passion alive in her images
