Project 2: E-commerce Product Photography (group project)

Brief

As a photography shop, you’ve been asked to develop a small portfolio for an E-commerce client. Images will be created for the website online sales. Carefully select products for the photo-shoot according to business type.

For this specific project, you will be working in teams: 3 students each as follows:

Art Director – decisions about lighting, creative direction, final approvals,
Photographer – executing the lighting, photography, set up,
Stylist – gathering props, placing objects on set, perfecting/finessing the placement, etc.

Suggestions of local clients:
Redthread Movement, Relics, McKays Bakery, Monks Coffee, Grace Museum, Antique Mall

Deliverables
At the end of the project, each team must be ready to present and deliver the following saved as PDF:
• Client name, existing (current) photos of products if available
• Pre-shooting research: idea file and/or concept board
for style (background, lighting, etc.
• First round shots
