P5: Short Documentary Film

Brief

Our last project in this class!
You’ve been asked to produce a short documentary video shot with HDSLR cameras. Think photographically (lighting, composition, tone, etc.) and think storytelling (the narrative, story flow, content, etc.). Your GROUP is responsible for establishing contact with featured professional, artist, or person. Develop a very simple script to be voiced-over (b-roll shots).

Criteria

TRT: 3-5 minutes
Edited with FinalCut Pro, iMovie, or Adobe Premiere

Process

Define script
Shoot A-roll (featured craft, person), record voice
Shoot B-roll (you never get enough!), record sounds
Background music
Editing (intro sequence, main, end titles)
