The meaningful life
Existentialism can be put in the category of new creation. The search for finding meaning and for living life according to that meaning is similar to the goal of living a Christian life towards making it into heaven. I think that it is very interesting that in order to fully live a meaningful life you must come up with what your meaning to life is.
As Christians we are held responsible for our actions for the Kingdom and our actions in life. The idea of responsibleness, an idea that Frankl came up with, can be attributed to that of being responsible for living your life and yours alone. No one can find meaning for you. You are responsible for finding your own meaning to life and for trying to live out that life to the fullest. This is the same as living out the Christian lifestyle to the fullest, and in turn you can find meaning to put to your life.
Laura Kate Music on George Kelly: Do you see what I see?
9:54 pm, 12.04.13
I think Kelly had a very unique way of approaching psychology. it is interesting that he wasn’t afraid to tell people they too need to change. I could see him giving others a very real amount of help back in those days, simply because of this style of Psychology that he embraced.
Laura Kate Music on Carl Rogers

Experiencing new things is something that never gets old. Every new experience helps make you a richer person, the same thing people say about traveling as well. Each of our experiences define us, that’s why we must never stop experiencing life and all of its wonder. I am not sure what I would classify Roger’s experiential theory under however.
Laura Kate Music on Piaget and Creation
9:45 pm, 12.04.13
Great post Denysha. I think that the stages Piaget has laid out for us, are very real and easy to accept. it is much more applicable than psychotherapy, and focuses on looking forward instead of back. I can definitely see where these stages fit into creation. The thought of being new, is similar to a child approaching new stages in each phase.
Laura Kate Music on Jung
10:55 pm, 11.18.13
Very interesting post. I would not thought of Jung being a part of the fall, but I can definitely agree with your post. I understand the role of knowledge and faith in Jung’s life, but to me Jung believed so strongly in God that he knew there was one.
Laura Kate Music on Behaviorism as Creation
10:52 pm, 11.18.13
I really enjoyed reading your thoughts on behaviorism and creation. I would not have thought to classify those two together. I would generally classify behaviorism under new creation or reformation. But I can definitely agree with your reasoning behind creation. Especially Because the are no external influences like you talked about.
Laura Kate Music on Freud and Creation
10:48 pm, 11.18.13
Interesting post Hillary! I would not have thought to classify Freud under creation, but after reading your blog post, it does seem to fit well. I especially liked what you said about progressing through the stages and how you linked that into creation as well.
Laura Kate Music on Gestalt and Redemption
10:24 pm, 11.04.13
Nicole, I think that you had a great point that Gestalt therapy can be linked to redemption. I like that you chose to link those two, especially based off of the relationship between the counselor and the patient.
Laura Kate Music on Recapitulation Theory and the Fall
10:14 pm, 11.04.13
Jessica, I agree with your post so much. It is a somewhat depressing thought to think that humans are bound by the past, or predestined to act, think, feel, and function in a particular way. I would classify this under the fall as well. The thought that there is nothing to do to escape these evolutionary pass-downs is something that can be seen as holding humanity back and keeping us bound.
Laura Kate Music on New creation

Great post Anna! You have some really good points on how we can adjust religion to fit the needs that humans have. I do believe religion is adaptive, and is continually evolving as well. I agree with Zach, as long as the focus is living fully in Christ then we’re on the right track.
Laura Kate Music on Darwin and redemption
11:43 pm, 10.21.13
I enjoyed reading your post about the factors of Darwinism that classify it under redemption. I am not sure of where to classify Darwin under, but I can see how some would link him to redemption.
I believe that redemption is about bettering oneself and trying to be a better person. This kind of goes in line with the thought that through the generations, animals and humans are becoming better and more equipped in each of their environments.
