I like what Alberto Oviedo wrote on his website by Environment: “The picture dictates the place.” I think that is very true. The surroundings in a photo can really make or break the photo. The lighting in his works are outstanding.
Alberto Oviedo has an interesting style. He brings people into places they wouldn’t normally be (ex. The guy standing in the middle of the pond in a full on suit). In a lot of his pictures he bumps up the yellow tones. I’m not sure if I like it or I hate it. In some cases I think it makes the image super interesting, but in others, I think it makes it look super fake. I like the way he handles light, though. It adds a nice flair to the pictures.
