LOOKHERE

Photographer Miyoko Ihara started this photo project 13 years ago, when her grandma Misao adopted an abandoned kitten, now named Fukumaru.

The Black and white photos are breathtaking.

This isn’t a post about a photographer, but this is really interesting. You can make light paintings like we did in digital photography, but with shapes. The link HERE is the website that has a GREAT tutorial on how to make your own. Maybe a good summer or christmas break project?

Tim Flach is an animal photographer and his portfolio is INCREDIBLE. I just took one image from his impressive site, so everyone needs to check him out. Absolutely stunning.

I’m pretty sure i just died laughing. What a good idea to catch people completely unaware! Sure, its unfortunate they had to be scared into it haha, but its rare that someone doesn’t know they’re being photographed. Most models know they’re being taken a picture of and even candid ones aren’t always 100% candid because they’re always aware.

Leanne i really like this!! Such a vintage style that is absolutely beautiful. Black and white images are my personal favorite (more then half of my own stuff ends up being black and white haha). But he has a unique and beautiful style that definitely stands out.

This is BEAUTIFUL. I like how she merges art with photographs that could be just regular portraits. When photographers do this, i gain so much respect for them. i would definitely buy one of these and hang one in my house.

This is interesting! I really like hearing about Dallas based photographers and i really liked reading the interview and seeing how he became a wonderful photographer.

I agree with Kelcie about the breathtaking editing. he really did a phenomenal job making the decisions on light and color. It intimidates me when i see such a beautiful and rich image with seemly subtle editing (but when you know what we know about editing, its not easy at all i bet).

I really do respect this. The photographer AND make up artist. I think it could’ve become too much if they executed it any differently.

This is so awesome. His images are so crisp and clean and i think a lot of photographers get so tied up in editing and doing awesome photoshop things that they lose that clean quality. SO GOOD.

This has a creepy and mystical quality in it. I like it but i don;t because it creeps me out. Which is a good thing i think. I especially like how the figure is SO dark in contrast with the fluffy fog smoke stuff.

I really like this. the motion of the biker is really nice in contrast with the rest of it and i think it just adds to the photo that its black and white. Nice.

I really like this! It’s quite a unique style and i’ll definitely be able to use him as inspiration in my own work.
