I really liked the Beet Cake video Nil showed us in class so I went and looked up more by Tiger in a Jar. This film production company is run by a husband and wife team, Matt and Julie Walker, located in Salt Lake City, Utah. I love the angle all of these videos are filmed in, as well as the vintage feel to their work.

Lightfield Lewis created this video of the wedding of Victoria and Jason Evigan. This video popped into my head when Nil was presenting the short documentary project to us in class. This video has several still shots that are great. It also tells a story of its own. Dead Hearts: The Wedding of Victoria and Jason Evigan

I really like how trippy these images are at first glance. Each image is made of two different images, because of the layering and editing. I would love to have one of these images in my home.

I really like the black and white scales in his photography. The contrast in these black and white pictures is really eye catching. It makes me want to look at more of his work.

I like the clarity of his photography. It doesn’t look like there is a whole lot of editing that goes into the images themselves. His photography as a whole is very realistic.

I really like the animal photography. The way the animals are photographed makes them look like humans somehow. The close ups in all of his images are stunning and the action shots are amazing!

I love that the grandmother’s cat makes an appearance in the majority of her photography. I like that there is a common theme to all of her photographs, it kind of tells a story of its own. Her work tells her grandmothers story, bringing a very sentimental quality to her work.

I love that he is a student, that gives me motivation to keep pursuing photography. I like that lots of his photography includes action shots as well as clear focal points. He has a really diverse portfolio that brings lots of different aspects to his work.

I love the clarity of his work. Each of his images make me feel like I am there in that moment. I love the rugged and realistic look to his photography, especially his work of Tierra del Fuego.

I really like the layering this photographer uses. There use not a whole lot of content in his work, but the images are captivating that it works. I like how there is a layer between the viewer and the model, it’s adds an interesting disconnect.

This is a really cool concept. I would have never thought that pictures would turn out well that way.
