For the entire month of April, there is a campaign to raise funds for the Katie Kirby fund. Please share with your networks or consider contributing personally to directly impact ACU students. This fund provides support for immediate living needs such as rent, groceries, clothing, and other necessities. Please recommend a student to SOAR if you think they are a good candidate. When requiring Zoom or other video conferencing, consider how students’ home and school lives are now in the same setting and may be vastly different from their classmates’ and their living situation in Abilene. This NYT article give some great examples.

An Academic Coaching Canvas course is offered by University Access programs for all students. The course also includes a link to set up individual coaching appointments to receive help with time management, motivation, or other learning goals and needs.

The Counseling Center has also set up a free Canvas course for mental health available to all students and is offering confidential, virtual counseling appointments. For more information, please email counseling@acu.edu or complete the online intake form.
