Howard Schatz: an ophthalmologist who after a successful academic life as a retina specialist, turns his hobby into a very prominent career. One of my favorite commercial photographers these days. Very creative and always pushing his imagination beyond the expected.

This particular photo that Schatz took the quality of the shadows and the contrast is amazing. I went to his website to view his other works. I viewed the human body pic’s. I love to look at pictures of the bodies in motion or flexing.

This photo is fascinating to me. I love the texture and the angle of the feet. I always would love to sit in the room with the photographer as they edit this type of photo because the contrast is so stunning and unique. The choice of lighting makes the photo extraordinary.

After taking a look at Schatz’s website I can see why he was important enough to be displayed on the blog. He is incredible! I particularly loved the underwater photos. They are simply magical. Some of the shots look like the models are just floating in air. They are so beautiful and very well composed.

I absolutely loved his “In Character” shoot for Vanity Fair. Getting the expressions he got out of those people is quite an accomplishment and is something to be respected. Each personality is definitely visible and perfectly captured.
