Dan Winters is one of my favorite commercial photographers. I had a chance to meet him while attending a workshop in Hunt, TX a few years ago. Really a great guy, and an excellent eye for “light composition.” He is now based in Austin.

I went to his website to view more of his works, I really like his Photo category Constructions. Everyone should check that one out for sure. I like the vintage theme in the photos. Even making up products that don’t exist and taking commercial pictures. He is not only a good photographer but picks very interesting subjects and themes.

I literally sat and looked through everything on his website for like 40 minutes. I love all of his work because of the contrasts in the lighting and the seriousness in the subjects faces. My favorite picture he does is the one of Shia Lebouf. The quality of this photo is awesome and the dramatic emphasis on the lights and darks really say “drama” to me. I love it.
