Im a sucker when it comes to the eyes of a person or animals, even though some may scare me. It so intriguing that there are so many shapes, sizes, and color that a human or animals. The eye is capable of a lot of things , “they say its the door way to  a human soul.” The different contrast, shadows and how the eye is formed and concave is amazing!!!  Especially, how you can contour and manipulated it, with just about anything… Have you ever wonder what was the stuff in pupils that made it shine, dilate, wetter, or even seem gloomy?

I say this the because are current project we are working is fascinating and intriguing. It is a pick of Beyonce made out of tasty chocolate drops!!! Which we first transcribe in to a pixelate image of her, then about 5 hours later she was completed. I would post a pick of the finish product but that would spoil the finale presentation!!! Lets Just Say, “You never really pay attention or even appreciate at the small minor details of how some something is made until you stare at it for several hours…” Her eyes where the hardest thing to imitate. We would have been done early, but if know or like Beyonce you know how she thinks or feels about certain by eyes which adds to her expressions.  So we as a group said it was valid to get the eyes right.

Ansel Adams images are so well known that photographers and tourists, who have the same techniques, but try to fill his shoes almost 60-70 years after  his most famous images were made. His web cite talks about some of his greasiest accomplishments, like Inventing the zone system,  environmental conservation efforts with the Sierra Club that led to creation of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks among other areas, the art education institutions that he helped to create, and also you can view his amazing photos in his gallery. For me, what makes him stand out from other photographers , is that he not only takes photos of the extraordinary place but tries to become one with nature in them. He gives back to the community because his love for nature and landscape.

Games that are pixelated

Pixilation has been around for many of decades, you may remember playing classic games like:

Mario Brothers, Donkey Kong, Street Fighter, Ninja Turtles, or Zelda

Back in the day they didn’t have very good graphics for some of their entrainment, so a lot of the gaming systems produced disappointing products.

Do You Remember these Systems:

Its crazy how they use what they had back then to create entertainment for the children, because now days ever thing is so high tech. The games they are producing now are less pixelated with better graphics to where the fridges almost looks real…

large

They even have a game today that is very pixdelated it is called “Minecraft”

maxresdefaultWhat is Pixilation?

  • Pixilation: is a image that is enlarged as far as it can, so that the viewer can see the individual pixels that form the image. Also the enlarging the image will have no further detail which gives it a distortion effect.

For Example:plix

Photographer who might have the camera slighty out of focus or  any angry person who try’s to  make a image small or larger might run in tho this problem.

This is also a technique that can be applied and unapplied by programs like Photoshop, GIMP,Pixelmator,  and etc.

Like the “Fujiya & Miyagi: Ankle Injuries” music video  that Nil showed us in class , it shows pixillations and found objects throughout the whole entire music video.

This video is a great example for our upcoming project, building portraits out of found objects.

Well, I suppose nothing is meant to last forever. We have to make room for other people. It’s a wheel. You get on, you have to go to the end. And then somebody has the same opportunity to go to the end and so on.” – Vivian Maier

  1. I remember when we did this project,I really loved it!!! The concept of photograms I feel is the easiest way to get a photo, and if you’ know how to develop you own pictures it makes it fun and fast… I love this project the most so far because you basically can use anything,it’s crazy because it’s like a X-ray of the objects you choose.

  2. i love the picks, it reminds me of some picks i took down town. I feel they were on to something great in that era, because when we take a picks of stuff we dont realize they may some similarities and i think that makes a picture more interesting, that and if the viewer can get fell of that time.

  3. Although, I feel like this pick is very creepy and scary,it very symbolic looking. i feel like the women in the pick had it rough, and back in the 1900s the women didnt have to many rights. I also feel like it offends her with the sign on her chest.

  4. Let’s just say Henry Talbot had a lot of time on his hands, which we all can appreciate him for. Judging on the fact this process is a little time consuming, but in the end it’s worth it. Also, I love the fact that the pick above has a old time look to it, but this is probably because they where a little under developed. This what of some of my images looked liked too, I mean not as good but the edges and lumps….

  5. I agree with cierra, about how the viewer might not notice that it’s projected on a room wall. I feel like that makes this picture so intriguing , knowing it came from a tiny whole, and that it can be basically projected on any surface. Also, if was projected on a different surface could we tell right away what it is? I think that was the whole point of this piece,it was part of the artist illusion.
