According to the Canvas release note for Jan 16, Canvas will switch to a new rich content editor on pages on Jan 16, 2021. Please check this video to learn how to use it.
It is already available before this date if anyone wants it to switch sooner. Go to course “settings,” then “feature options,” and turn RCE Enhancement:
