James Prather and Brent Reeves offered insights into some of the short- and long-term effects of student use of AI and how it may impact self-efficacy. They highlighted three of their studies and provided suggestions for consideration and action in any discipline. This presentation demonstrated why they are internationally recognized for their work in AI. Of note was their encouragement to have students develop “negative expertise” around the use of GenAI tools. You can view the slides HERE.
