We have prepared a practice interview using InterviewStream. This is a service purchased by ACU for practicing interview skills. The questions you encounter in this practice interview are the same questions you will be asked in the Concentration Review. Please follow the instructions below:

Taking The Interview

1. Choose a piece from your portfolio that is typographically complex. A good example would be your magazine spreads project.
2. On a laptop with a camera go to this website and click the “Register” link below the email form (unless you have already registered for this website in which case login and skip to step 4).
3. Complete the registration form on the right side of the page (please remember your login information for the future).
4. On the left sidebar you will see a place to enter your “Assignment Code”. Please copy and paste the following code into that box and click “Register”: 2hNzgZ8gw0WV
5. Follow instructions to complete your interview

NOTE: This is intended to provide practice for your Graphic Design Concentration Review. The questions you encounter in InterviewStream will be similar, if not identical, to the questions asked in your Concentration Review.

Interview Questions for Reference

The following are the interview questions you will see on InterviewStream. 

1) Talk About Your Work
Choose a piece in your portfolio and talk about issues of typography and design. Be sure to use vocabulary you have learned in your typography and two-dimensional design classes. Then speak to how those elements contribute to the overall goal of the piece.

2) Internships
Give us the names of 3 or 4 companies where you are interested in interning. Choose one and explain what about your strengths and interests make you a good fit.

3) Significant Designers
Name 3 significant graphic designers and how they have influenced your work and approach to graphic design.
